Nicaraguan wind project update
At EOLO, Globeleq’s 44 MW wind project in Nicaragua, construction works are progressing on time and on budget. Six of the 22 turbines have been completely assembled and the mechanical completion inside those turbines has commenced. It is hoped to have all turbines assembled by mid October. The sub-station is progressing well with all of metal structures, grounding grid, and disconnect switches being installed. Works to interconnect the sub-station to the 230KV grid will require 2 planned outages, the first being on the 9th of September. Safety and quality continue to lead the progress at EOLO, maintaining the highest industry standards at all times.
