Dhesen has over 20 years of investment industry experience, with the last 13 years focused on managing infrastructure funds. He has been involved in developing, financing and managing independent power projects in South Africa and Mozambique across coal, gas, wind, solar and hydro technologies.
As Managing Director of Globeleq South Africa Management Services, Dhesen leads the team managing commercial and operational initiatives to optimise the South African renewables portfolio.
Prior to joining Globeleq, Dhesen worked with African Infrastructure Investment Managers (AIIM) as Investment Director: Head of Asset Management, and formerly with AIIM’s shareholders Macquarie and Old Mutual Alternative Investments.
