As the COO, Gionata will lead the operational activities and support strategic, in-country governance work, overseeing the process of existing and future operational assets.
With 20 years of experience in the power generation and energy sector, Gionata comes to us from ContourGlobal where he was responsible for a diversified asset fleet across various thermal and renewable technologies in Africa. He has also worked with Wartsila and Caterpillar. Originally from Italy, he has spent most of his career abroad having been based in Senegal, Namibia, Cameroon and Germany, including many other short-term assignments across the world. The COO role will be based in Cape Town, South Africa.
Gionata has a track record of successfully working with his teams to achieve excellence in safety and operations by enabling growth and sustainability in an inclusive environment.

Avec 20 ans d’expérience dans le secteur de la production d’électricité et de l’énergie, Gionata nous vient de ContourGlobal où il était en charge d’un parc d’actifs diversifié dans diverses technologies thermiques et renouvelables en Afrique. Il a également travaillé avec Wartsila et Caterpillar. Originaire d’Italie, il a passé la majeure partie de sa carrière à l’étranger avec des postes au Sénégal, en Namibie, au Cameroun et en Allemagne, et il a également effectué de nombreuses missions de courte durée à travers le monde. La fonction de DO sera basée au Cap, en Afrique du Sud.
