Globeleq Appoints Anne Sefu as CHRO

LONDON: 01 September 2020:  Globeleq, the leading independent power producer in Africa, announced the appointment of Anne Sefu as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).  She will join Globeleq in the role during September 2020 and will serve as a member of the Globeleq Executive Committee, reporting to the CEO, Mike Scholey.  Anne succeeds Sarah Ollerenshaw, who left the company to return to her home country of Australia.

Anne Sefu is a seasoned human resources leader, with extensive international experience gained at various multinational organisations in the healthcare, telecommunications and FMCG sectors.  Most recently, Anne joins us from GlaxoSmithKline, London UK where she led HR for the Global Therapeutics business.   She has also previously held senior HR roles at Vodafone Group UK and The Coca Cola Company.  Anne is a values-based and insights focused professional, who brings expertise in strategic HR leadership, including talent management, organisational transformation and culture development, rewards, diversity and inclusion.
