The 66 MWp Boshof Solar Power plant is in Boshof, 55km northeast of Kimberley, in the Free State Province.

The plant covers 160 hectares of Tokologo municipality-owned land and generates approximately 132 GWh per year, supplying enough clean, renewable electrical energy to power more than 30 000 average South African homes.

Boshof Solar Power generates electricity using 218,000 solar (PV) panels which feed the 132-kV Eskom distribution system.
